Jeffrey Bede

Jeffrey Bede is a principal at ORIX Venture Finance, where he originates new clean tech investment opportunities in the Eastern US. ORIX Venture Finance provides senior secured and mezzanine financing and equity co-investments to mid- and later-stage venture capital-backed companies and has committed over $800 million in capital to approximately 80 high-growth companies.Jeff has seventeen years of financial investing and advisory experience, primarily in the technology, consumer, healthcare and business services sectors. He spent much of his earlier career raising private equity and performing mergers and acquisitions for high growth and middle-market companies.Before joining ORIX, Jeff was a managing director at Chessiecap Securities, a boutique investment bank, where he headed its private placement and valuation practices. Earlier, he was a co-founder and principal at Capital Run LLC, a Seattle-based boutique investment bank that specialized in providing private equity, debt, and M&A advisory services to IT and consumer companies. Jeff holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from Stanford University, and he earned an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago. Jeff is an avid whitewater kayaker, skier, hiker and traveler.
